Symposion is the study association for philosophy students at Leiden University.
Studying is not solely about reading books and (not) paying attention during a lecture. It’s also about getting to know your fellow students who study the same, and sometimes even more complex, things. To be able to talk about this, Symposion was founded.
Symposion arranges various activities and events throughout the year, organized by the Committees. These events correspond with the things you study, give you a new perspective on the things you already know about, or expose you to a side of philosophy that you might never have gotten to know otherwise! Students have been attending these activities for quite a while now. Through this, you can get to know your peers.
