Symposion organizes two types of Educational Events, open to all members:
Philosophy Nights
A few speaker-students present their thoughts, often united around a theme, and everyone is involved in a moderated discussion. They may also present theses and essays. This is the main space for Symposion members to engage with each other’s philosophy, however un/related to their studies.
Pub Lectures
University lecturers come out of their ivory towers to mingle with us commoners. They present thoughts not normally included in their classes, take questions, and stay around for drinks.
This is the main space for Symposion members to meet their instructors in a casual context. Could be expanded to bring multiple lecturers into conversation, as well as to invite experts from other disciplines and other universities.
These events are free of entrance and alternate per month.
